DirectCGF 3.9.0
Release Notes • Q4 2026
General
- Updated Windows requirements: DirectCGF now requires Windows 10 version 20H2 or later for .NET Framework 4.8.1 compatibility.
- Scenario Milestones: Players can now save scenario snapshots during pause mode and reload them as standalone scenarios.
- Timer Operator Fix: Visual Programming timers now execute for the exact intended simulation duration.
- Wait on a Racetrack: Heading, Leg Duration and Turn Duration parameters have been removed to prevent unintended platform modifications.
- Group Persistence: Platform groups are now embedded directly in scenario files.
- 3DTiles Support: 3DTiles (.json) can now be loaded within the Layer Manager.
- GeoRef Grid: New GeoRef display grid available in Tactical View.
- Ocean Layer: Fixed display issue preventing visualization of the Ocean Layer.
- Detonation Impact Position: Improved impact location accuracy.
- Subsystem Visibility: Subsystems are no longer deployable manually from platform libraries.
- Editable Navaid Identification: Navaid identification can now be modified from Player Mode.
- Player Freeze Fix: Fixed freezes occurring during Homing 2D, Homing 3D and Wait on Circle orders.
Impact: Timer corrections and new detonation computation may slightly modify existing scenario timelines and weapon impact locations.
Performance
- AIS Optimization: AIS emitter computations have been optimized, reducing processing costs by more than 50% and allowing significantly larger AIS traffic simulations.
Visual Programming
- Weapon Fire triggers now expose the fired platform (missile, munition, etc.) as an output.
- Improved Property Editor synchronization between Behavior Sequencer and Visual Programming views.
- Fixed the "Detached Platform" output of the Detach behavior.
- Fixed errors when copy-pasting platforms using "Breakaway from Formation".
- Ballistic weapons have been removed from dynamically spawnable platforms.
CAP Relay & Racetrack Improvements
- Counter-Rotative CAP behavior renamed and improved.
- CAP Relay can start before aircraft reach the racetrack.
- Joining trajectories are faster and more efficient.
- Aircraft now use maximum load factor during racetrack entry maneuvers.
Impact: Aircraft using CAP Relay will reach their patrol patterns faster and follow improved trajectories.
Platform Architect
- Added "Default Ship Type" property for AIS Emitters.
- Corrected min/max rotation limits for articulated parts.
- Launchers now rotate correctly by default when created.
- Reworked Azimuth/Elevation helper visualization for improved usability.
Interoperability (DIS / HLA)
- Persistent DIS Proxies: DIS proxies now remain in the scenario after timeout events, improving interoperability resilience.
- Static entities now emit Static Dead Reckoning (Mode 1) when exported through DIS/HLA.
- Site ID / Application ID modifications correctly refresh existing Entity IDs.
- Fixed erroneous acceleration vectors in Entity State PDUs causing small teleports.
- Detonation PDUs now use the Weapon's Munition Type instead of the Damage Model Entity Type.
- Fixed an error occurring when destroying submarines while interoperability was active.
Persistence Status Colors:
🟧 Orange = Heartbeat timeout exceeded
⬜ Grey = Proxy timed out but remains available awaiting new updates
